Frontier construction in Brunswick
Frontier Communications is installing fiber to the home throughout the Brunswick community. They have the right to be in the utility easement or any other easement they may have from years past, such as in your backyard. They may also ask the residents for a working agreement to work outside of the easement on the private property. Easements, vary in size. The general utility easement in front of your home runs between 10’ – 12’. They are to place door hangers with information at least 4-7 days in advance of work, that outlines what to expect, with the phone numbers, email and QR code with any questions or concerns from the residents. Driveways are not to be blocked, however, if they must be blocked for some specific reason, Frontier is to notify the homeowner between 24-72 hours prior. This is to be a rare issue. If they block a drive without permission or advance notice, the residents are to call the Brunswick Police Department.

Upon completion of the install, Frontier expects to begin repair to yards within 1-2 weeks. There has been lots of rain this early spring and because of this, the yards have been especially wet, which may delay the repair slightly. Please note that the repairs a utility is responsible for is for soil, seeding and straw. If there is vegetation within the right of way that is not lawn, the utility is not responsible to restore, however, they may choose to restore, it is their choice. Should the utility have an easement in your backyard, that they will be using, they have the right to remove fencing or other items, they are not responsible for replacing the fencing or other structures. Easements are meant to be free of obstacles, structures and the other impediments.


Hometown Hero Banners
The City of Brunswick will display Hometown Hero Banners on utility poles three weeks prior to Veterans Day through the Friday after Veterans Day. Please see the application provided by the Medina County Veterans Memorial Fund for options, pricing, and how to order. Orders must be received by August 15, 2025. Boston Rd interchange information
Brunswick City Council has taken many steps to declare its opposition to the proposed interchange at Boston Road, including passing legislation and participating in local media. Find more info and resources here.
